Josh Plave is the known founder of Wall to Main and is a full-time family investor. He started with his own family’s investment portfolio and helped other families make the same intelligent financial decision. He started in his journey as early as 16 years of age. He was inspired by his grandparents, who told him that securing his finances for the future is critical to leading a better life in the future. Now, at the age of 30, he continues to live with financial freedom, and he wants to share the same tips he learned through time to help others find better investment options for their IRAs and their equities.
In his work, he highlights that being financially free comes from a person's willingness to find out what he can control and find a way to control these properties in the most efficient way possible. In his business, he continues to promote effective investment options through large multifamily real estate properties; this way, the investors do not invest in the properties but in the business and its assured growth.

Join Mike Cavaggioni and Daniel Mills as they talk about obtaining financial freedom from overseas. Daniel is a University professor in Japan, who has gone from being $15,000 in debt to building a Net worth of over one million dollars through index funds and extreme long distance real estate investing. Stay tuned!

  • In this episode, you’ll learn:
  • From being indebted to financial freedom
  • The importance of having multiple bank accounts
  • Pro’s and Con’s of investing in real estate while living abroad
  • Goals for Property/Market Selection
  • And much more!

About Daniel Mills

Growing up in southern California, Daniel saw his father grow a business that was profiting millions each year, only to see it later become liquidated. Daniel didn’t really think too much about money or growing his personal wealth until years later. After college, Daniel moved to Japan and became an English teacher making a salary of around $30,000 (USD) a year. He met his wife, settled down, and bought an apartment in an appreciating part of the city (contrary to many other parts of Japan). Daniel was saving around $1,000 a month, and realized he didn’t want to be making $30,000 a year forever. So, he started investing in index funds and stocks, which grew his net worth and allowed him to invest in other asset classes, like real estate.

Daniel even shares a tax loophole that allowed him to write off 100% of his 6-figure income while he was in Japan (solely from real estate depreciation)!

Fast forward to today, Daniel has rental properties in Idaho, Alabama, and Tennessee with partners from Japan and the United States. Daniel agrees with many other real estate professionals in the fact that you need a tried and true team in cities where you’re investing. Living in Japan, he doesn’t have much to worry about in the US, thanks to his fantastic property managers, handymen, partners, lenders, and real estate agents.

Join Mike Cavaggioni and Al Jones on the 65th episode of the Average Joe Finances Podcast as they talk about what financial decisions you can make to achieve a perfect credit score. Al is a personal finance author and a game developer in Phoenix, Arizona. After years of making poor financial decisions, thinking it was the norm, he decided to turn things around by learning finance, specifically credit repair. Today, Al shares his experiences, from barely living on a low credit rating to raising his FICO score to a perfect 850.

In this episode, you’ll learn:

● What to look forward to when reading My Journey from Bad to Excellent Credit.

● How society’s perception of financial literacy has changed over the years.

● The power of “failure” and why we should always see it as a learning experience.

● How the evolution of technology continues to change the game in financing.

● The value of working with bill collectors and generating credit reports.

● And much more!

About Al Jones:

Al Jones is a native son of Phoenix, Arizona, and a 1984 graduate of Maryvale High School. And for a while, he also served in the United States army. After being honorably discharged from the US Army, Al moved back to his hometown and began creating user-friendly games for mobile devices, live shows, playing cards, and more.

Al also wrote a book called My Journey from Bad to Excellent Credit, where he discusses financial mistakes and a case of identity theft that tanked his score, leading him to many other issues. At the time, he knew something had to change, so he started educating himself about credit repair. As a result, his FICO score was raised from an eight credit rating to a perfect score of 850.
