How we started our journey in the world of autism.

Our son Aarian was born in November 2005. He was a very quiet baby and rarely cried. He hit all his milestones and there was never a cause to worry .My mother in law who is a special needs teacher first bought it to our attention Aarian might have autism when he was 18 months old . He demonstrated all the classic signs of autism like he loved being alone,had no eye contact,rarely interacted with us and did not respond to his name. It was a big relief to us when Aarian was diagnosed with moderate to severe non verbal autism at 3 years of age.We were told the prognosis was not good and and there was not much we could do .It was very overwhelming and isolating at the same time as we had no idea what autism what . I was researching on google all information I could find to help Aarian . Today he is a teenager and has come a long long way .
