Part 1:
We talk with Anders Croy, Communications Director for Florida Watch and DeSantis Watch.
We discuss the problems homeowners are facing to pay homeowners insurance premiums, which have skyrocketed in Florida. There has been a 125% increase in the last five years, and 41% in since last year. Many homeowners, if they can, avoid paying for this insurance. This is in the midst of the climate-cased disasters. (hurricanes, floods, etc.) Insurance companies cannot be sued if Florida, and often do not pay out the cost of rebuilding. The insurance lobby is very strong, and the governor supports their activities.
Part 2:
We talk with Susan Rinkunas, a freelance reporter on reproductive health and politics.
We discuss the conservative christian groups who are funding various attacks on organizations. The Chevron case is one such case.

This is a panel discussion
Our panel is Laura Jedeed, independent journalist, Stephen Pimpare, law faculty member at Vermont, and Bill Curry, writer, former aide to Bill Clinton, anti-nuclear activist.
-We begin our discussion about the threatened deportations of immigrants . These individuals currently contribute $100 B to Social Security, and will NOT get any of that money back. In addition, many jobs now being done by these immigrants will likely not be done at all.
-Republicans are beginning to splinter with themselves. The populists do not agree with fiscal conservatives.
-It is important to note that the blame placed on immigrants is wrong. Most drugs are brought in by citizens.
-We discuss the aging of lawmakers. Case in point: Kay Granger (R-TX).
-Democrats must develop a bench of new office-holder entrants that represent the voters.
