At The Hops -Beer & Music Podcast

Mike Mitchell and Chas E are back with 3 more beers , 3 more original songs from Nashville artists, and 2 (thats right 2) Top 6 lists to tantalize your intellect. Okay, we’re exaggerating on the intellect thing, but we promise you a great time. First off, Mike and Chas take on a controversial Top 6 of the Top Douche Bags in Country Music. How could there be douche bags in any kind of music! Well, we’ll check out suggestions from writer Mike Seely and see if we agree or disagree. And then as if that wasn’t enough, Mike and Chas create their own Top 6 list - the Top 6 Hottest Seinfeld Girlfriends as featured on the comedy series. It’s truly groundbreaking stuff that could only be created after plenty of craft beer tasting. Speaking of craft beer, we take on three offerings this episode including the Vader CDA from Gilgamesh, the VIP from Hop Valley Brewing, and the Spruce Beerstein from Jackalope Brewing. Three great dark ales with three distinct personalities. We also revisit three awesome performances from previous At The Hops including Roger Jaegar, Steve Charles and Grace Pettis - another trio of big talents with truly, distinct voices. And the good times don’t end there, we even have a hint of Ross Mathews news in the mix. How could that be you wonder? Just get your free episode and see!

Lipstick - Greg Troyan and Stephen Smith

Greg Troyan and Stephen Smith lead Nashville’s premiere glam rock band Lipstick, and on this week’s episode they join Chas E and Mike Mitchell for some more original music and beer tasting. Greg Troyan had a vision to create a rock experience that embraced the sounds of classic rock and evolved the hair rock phenomena into a more current sound. Together with musical parter Stephen Smith (also of Regdar And The Fighters), they have created Lipstick, which is more than just a musical experience - it’s an entire theatrical show. Greg and Stephen give us a killer live performance of their original son Stop and share a few songs from their current albums - Lipstick and Spoiler Alert by Regdar And The Fighters. They also take a shot at judging a few craft beers including the Cyclops IPA from Cascades Brewing, Eruption Imperial Red Ale from Worthy Brewing, and the Trooper from Robinsons Brewery - endorsed by Iron Maiden’s Bruce Dickinson. We also have a new Top 6 list featuring the Top 6 Worst Heavy Metal Bands that is sure to get your head banging. So get ready to rock with Greg Troyan, Stephen Smith and your hosts Mike and Chas on this week’s At The Hops!

Mike and Chas hit the beer scene next with some tasty dark brews including the Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale from Alltech Lexington Brewing and the Salty Scot from Parallel 49 Brewing.
