Here are 5 traits of high functioning autism that you can identify easy in some one. First off it should be noted that there is no real high functioning autism level there is only the autism spectrum disorders. That being said some people still think of it as being a high functioning form of autism. Here are five ways you can see autism traits in somebody who may be displaying a more lower support needs side of autism. 1.Love Of Routine Autistic people love routines and will stick to daily routine rigidly. 2.Special Interest Most autistic people have a special interest that they are obsessive about. 3.Odd Food Habits An autistic person may have unusual eating habits, like separating foods on a plate so they do not touch. 4.Difficulty In Conversion Autism is a social and communication issue, there for creating difficulty when a person on the spectrum is trying to converse with another. 5.Anxiety / Overwhelmed Easy Autism meltdowns happen because of an overwhelming anxiety or emotion. Can Autism And Allergies Be Related?

Can Autism And Allergies Be Related? Autism and allergies have a common story, with almost every autistic person I know has allergies. Brillia https://www.discoverbrillia.com [CODE: ASPIE15 for 15% OFF!] For shipments to the UK please email [email protected] But is there a relationship between autism and allergies? Recently I have had an updated assessment for diagnostic criteria to have a more in-depth understanding of my autism and Co-occurring conditions. As an autistic person who suffers with aggravated eczema which is a skin allergy, it was noted that this was a common occurrence with people on the spectrum and was almost expected. This being said, it would be noted by the medial industry that allergies are related to autism and common in autistic people. Every summer and spring I have to take allergies relief medicine and it worries me a bit due to taking so many meds. I’d love to know your thoughts on this topic and I’d you have any allergies. Aspergers and Autism Podcast [The Aspie World] - STOP STIMMING NOW!

STOP STIMMING NOW!

Aspergers and Autism Podcast [The Aspie World]

play

10/02/19 • 5 min

STOP STIMMING NOW! - How would you react if someone told you to stop stimming while you where stimming? Imagine being in a room feeling safe and secure. You are on the spectrum and you enjoy stimming, so you are stimming. Someone burst into the room, picks you up, puts you out side on the street and says STOP STIMMING NOW. How would you feel and how would you react to this kind of information? Being autistic myself with a diagnosis of Aspergers Syndrome having this experience thrust upon me is very upsetting and confusing. I was supposed to be appearing on a national TV show with just days left before the show starting, all bags packed, all filming done, to then get a call telling me I am not doing it anymore and all contact stopping. This was so upsetting and confusing I still cannot get my head around it. But this experience has shown me one thing, that the main stream media don't want to see autism represented on reality TV the don't want the 'risk' of that. This is my personal experience with this and I am going to do everything I can to show that autism isn't a bad thing and it isn't a risk for anyone! Carry on stimming!
