Many people are feeling fear and anxiety around everything going on in the world with the Corona Virus pandemic. There's a lot unknown at this time. But there is no need to panic. Taking a moment to pause can do so much for our mental state and help us to stay clear headed and grounded despite what's going on.
We encourage you to call, text or facetime a friend or loved one and remind them they're not alone. Just because we aren't able to meet together with our communities, doesn't mean we can't still engage and upbuild it.
Here are the cliff notes of some of what we talk about in this episode:
- Do NOT Panic
- Recognize the abundance around you
- Count your blessings
- Limit your intake of news (beyond being up to date with relevant and local information/direction)
- Call, text, reach out to loved ones (don't isolate yourself)
- Be present in what you are doing
- Look out for your community (listen to local direction and practice social distancing)
- Support small businesses
- Make your space a haven (check out episodes 3 + 18 for inspiration and tips)
- Use this time to work on your passions or to do things you haven't had time for
- Get some fresh air (you can still go outside in your yard, go on a walk, open your windows and let fresh air inside)
- Make a plan of how to better prepare in the future.
