Ever feel like you missed something important when it comes to the news? A fact, a detail, or an event that it feels like everyone else knows about, and now you'd look like a moron if you asked someone to explain? Well, here's a podcast that will ask those questions so you don't have to.
This week, host Danielle Ward is joined by Peter Felstead, the editor of Jane's Defence Weekly, to ask questions about the military and defence. Danielle is joined by comedians Ahir Shah (Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee 2017) and Athena Kugblenu (BBC New Comedy Award finalist).
Please note that this episode includes sensitive information about how well "we" (Britain) would do in an international conflict, so please do not play it to Kim Jong-Un.
Questions asked and answered include:
- Which countries could Britain beat in a war?
- Is having nuclear weapons useful, or is it just dick-swinging?
- Would it kill the Russians to say anything nice about Britain's aircraft carriers?
...so if you've sort of been guessing the answers based on a gut feeling, why not listen and find out for sure?
All our guests are on Twitter, so go and say hello - @PFelstead_JDW, @AhirShah, @AthenaKugblenu, and Danielle is @captainward.
