When it comes to horsepower for tools? What’s the minimum /maximum you would recommend?

Matt Marohl

  • I had a thought the other day about buying wood from Facebook or Craigslist. What is a good price to pay for lumber? I’m sure it will vary from state to state but is there a way to know I’m not getting ripped off?
  • Also how about the lingo? Specifically dimensions of lumber, like four quarter and so on vs what we find at Lowe’s.
  • Could y’all do a segment on milking your own lumber? Using a chainsaw mill and drying times and methods?
  • Also I’m looking at a new table saw and I’ve got it narrowed down to a delta contractor saw, a rigid professional saw or a Laguna fusion 1. Any input on all three of these?

Question for the pod: How and when did you decide to take the plunge and sell your work?

How did you go about building an initial customer base, and do you remember what was your first sold project?

Ryan

Morning Wood

Idk if you have discussed this. But finishing a project and covering or filling small imperfection. I have tried sawdust mixed w/ glue, epoxy, starbond adhesive... which do you recommend on small imperfections.

Kevin

Taxes. Sales tax, income tax, irs nonsense. Is that something I need to report and worry about starting small? Or once I get steady income?
