Blacks and Baseball
A Virginia Beach high school baseball team recently forfeited its season because of racism and harassment among members of its own team. Is this behavior part of the reason why more and more African Americans are not playing America's pastime? We examine the relationship between the African American community and the game of baseball - and what can be done to get this community more interested and involved with the game. Note: Virginia Beach City Public Schools is a member of the Hampton Roads Educational Telecommunications Association, which holds the broadcast license for WHRO.
