Ellie Green is the only child of Angela and Geoff Green, and the trio was an incredibly tight-knit family. Ellie was likely expecting a happy homecoming, but instead, she and Angela got into an argument. According to Ellie, the argument wasn’t a bad one, but Angela told her to leave.
Ellie went to stay the night at her boyfriend’s house, figuring her mother would cool off soon. But instead of hearing from her mom that night, three days went by without a word. Then Ellie received a shocking text from her father that would just be the first in several stories of where her mother was. Now, over two years later, Ellie is still left wondering what really happened to her mother, Angela Green?

On March 6, 2009, a single mom was settling in for a quiet evening at home. Her two daughters, Amanda and Samantha, were with their father for the weekend, so she had the house to herself. It had been a busy week at work, and Nancy Moyer was looking forward to relaxing with a glass of wine. But that Sunday, when Bill Moyer came to her home to drop off their daughters, he found the front door open, the television on, but no Nancy. Since that day, there have been several suspects, including a convicted murderer, a suspicious co-worker, and even a man who confessed to her murder, but no arrests. 13 years later, Nancy’s daughters are still actively searching for both their mother and for justice.
If you have any information regarding the disappearance of Nancy Moyer, or of any of the persons of interest in this case, please call the Thurston County Sheriff's Office at 360-786-5279.

But Billy Smolinski never gave his neighbor the keys to his home so he could check on his beloved dog, Harley. Billy’s family immediately knew that all of this behavior was out of character for the quiet homebody.

And Then They Were Gone

play

09/24/22 • 57 min

In the late 70s, a young couple set off from Florida to Texas to start their new life together. 17-year-old Tina Linn Clouse was madly in love with her new husband, Harold Dean Clouse, so she didn’t hesitate to uproot her life and move to Texas when he got a new job.
Their families were supportive, but became concerned when they started hearing from the couple less and less. Then, in October of 1980, communication stopped completely. It would take over 40 years for the Linn and Clouse families to learn what happened to Tina and Dean, but even when those answers were revealed, a huge one wasn’t: what happened to their baby?
The investigation into the murders of Holly’s biological parents, Tina and Dean Clouse, is ongoing. If you or anyone you know has information about their deaths, please contact the Texas Attorney General’s Cold Case and Missing Persons Unit at [email protected].

On June 21, 2016, 20-year-old Tyler Stice packed his lunch and left for work. The community college student was living at home and working to save up money in hopes of eventually attending Northern Arizona University. That morning, Tyler got into his prize possession, a black Ford Mustang, and drove off. But he didn’t make it to work that day. Four days later his car would be found in the Hualapai mountains, but there would be no trace of Tyler.
Tyler’s family had been seemingly followed by tragedy for years, and it wouldn’t stop with his disappearance. It’s been over six years since Tyler was last seen, and his case is filled with theories, with some wondering if his family’s checkered past could have contributed not only to what happened not only that day, but also to the events that followed.

In fact, their investigation would reveal that the children had been hiding in plain sight: eating out in restaurants, and attending Sunday School. But despite multiple arrests, and the lengthiest and most expensive trial in San Bernardino’s history, Brandi Summers and Tiffany Wise’s whereabouts remain unknown, over 40 years later. It was the beginning of the Martin Luther King Junior holiday weekend in Wilmington, North Carolina, and 30-year-old Ebonee Spears was not doing well. Ebonee, who had been diagnosed with Lupus the year before, had seemingly been having negative reactions to her medication. The bright, friendly mother of one was acting disoriented and paranoid. Things got so bad, that her parents contemplated having her involuntarily committed to a psychiatric hospital.
The next evening, January 15, 2016, Ebonee told her parents she wasn’t coming over for a planned dinner. That night, when her boyfriend arrived at her home, Ebonee was gone. No one has seen Ebonee after that day. After six years of misinformation and muddled timelines, investigators and Ebonee’s loved ones are no closer to finding out where she went after she walked away.
If you have any information regarding the disappearance of Ebonee Spears, please contact the Wilmington Police Department at 910-343-3686.

A little girl in Richmond, Virginia is placed into foster care. Everything seems to be going okay for a while, but eventually she stops showing up for school. Then it’s missed doctor’s appointments, followed by a missed paternity test. Then, it’s over two years since anyone has seen her. There have been several similar cases in the news lately: Oakley Carlson, whom we’ve covered here, as well as Harmony Montgomery. But this case goes even further back. Brittany Williams was a seven-year-old girl who was eventually reported missing back in 2003. But she hadn’t been seen by anyone in public since August 18, 2000. While investigators thought that Brittany had likely died, everything changed in 2021 when a woman came forward saying that she had a DNA test that proved she was Brittany Williams.

"If only they had some sort of GPS monitor on them.” In the case of a person who vanishes without a trace, it’s only natural to wish for some magical tool that could just tell you where they were. As we learn with the case of missing Houston, Texas teenager, Alexander “AJ” Silva, sometimes even that’s not enough.AJ had been arrested in early 2021 and was required to wear an ankle monitor while he awaited trial. It was while he was wearing that device and being monitored by the Harris County court system that he disappeared and met what witnesses say was a horrific fate. How does this happen? How can a county just lose someone when they had the ability to track his exact location? We’ll delve into that and how AJ Silva’s family is fighting for justice.
If you have any information on the disappearance and potential homicide of AJ Silva, please contact the Black and Missing Foundation at 877-972-2634, or visit BAMFI.org
