An Indianapolis Business Podcast: Off the Circle

Apple had a special event held at Steve Jobs Theater on September 12, 2017. Since we're all fanboys, we wanted to discuss the product announcements in detail. They announced the iPhone X, iPhone 8 and 8 Plus, Apple Watch 3, watchOS4, Apple TV 4K, watchOS 4, and iOS 11. Doug, Adam, and Ryan got together the day after to give their take on each of the devices, the advancements, the hits, and perhaps a few misses.

Episode 3: From Pests to Alarms, We're Talking Home Service Companies

Two incredible businesses in Indianapolis, Freedom Pest Control and Zinga's Home Solutions visit the studio to share what makes a great home services company, what to look out for, and what their secrets to success are. Freedom Pest Control is an Indianapolis pest control business. Zinga's is an Indianapolis home security and automation business.

Christine, CEO and founder of Freedom Pest Control, saw a great opportunity in an industry full of poor service and high sales-pressure sales to launch Freedom Pest Control. Together with her husband, Howard, they have built and exited over 20 successful companies in the last 18 years - a record that few entrepreneurs could ever reach.

Benjamin McCann is launching the home automation and security arm of Zinga's, a company that already had a winning streak in the window coverings industry.

Special Guests: Benjamin McCann, Christine Coleman, and Howard Bienstock.

Episode 5: What is Orr Fellowship?

Orr Fellowship has already made an enormous impact in the region's fastest-growing organizations, but what do you know about it? Many of us have had the pleasure of working alongside a Fellow, but didn't understand what the mission was, how it started, what the impact has been, and how to get involved.

We were lucky enough to have Executive Director, Karyn Smitson, in our studio along with four current Orr Fellows. They describe what the program is like, how the program differs from any other, and why you should get involved - whether you're a company or a student.

Special Guest: Karyn Smitson.
