America's Most Haunted - AMH Talks Wolf Creek 2 with John Jarratt
play

05/14/14 • 80 min

When it comes to movie villains, Australia has a top contender: John Jarratt. Jarratt made a name for himself in the 2005 horror film Wolf Creek. Based (loosely) on actual events, Wolf Creek struck a chord with Aussies and movie goers all over the world.
Jarratt's character, Mick Taylor, was inspired by Ivan Milat who committed a series of grisly killings that came to be known as "The Backpack Murders."
Now Jarratt reprises his role in the sequel, Wolf Creek 2. It is slotted for an American release on May 16th.
In the new film we find a young German couple backpacking in the wilds of the Australian Outback. Their vacation in paradise is cut short when the come across psychopathic pig-shooter Mick Taylor.
In a thrilling game of cat and mouse, Taylor relentlessly stalks his prey through the desolate barren Outback. Their struggle for survival seems utterly hopeless. When an unsuspecting motorist attempts to help one of Taylor's victims, he too becomes part of the gruesome game.
It's killer vs captive in a battle of brutality and wits in one of the most imaginative torture scenes ever filmed.
The film has moments of pure natural beauty interspersed with sheer brutality. And oh, that laugh, that psychotic unmistakable laugh!
John Jarratt joins the Haunted Housewife for what is sure to be an electrifying interview on May 13th at 10pmE.

America's Most Haunted - Lori Settle of Destination America's WHEN GHOSTS ATTACK
play

12/04/13 • 63 min

Destination America's WHEN GHOSTS ATTACK travels to the dark side of the paranormal world, where poltergeist activity is child's play compared to the soul-sucking torment of an evil entity, Sundays at 10pE/P
Told from the first-person perspective of the victim, each episode features chilling cases in which people are attacked by an unknown force from within their own homes. From scratches and bruises to sudden illness and shoves down the stairs, the otherworldly assailants in WHEN GHOSTS ATTACK are invisible, but the scars – both physical and emotional – are all too real.
Lori Settle is no stranger to the paranormal. Having worked in mental health institutions and even a mortuary, Lori has always been around places that generally give people "the creeps." Not to mention her home, which was proven to be haunted by the Omega Paranormal Team. After receiving advice and assistance from the investigation group several years ago, Lori and her daughter Kaitlyn have been an active part of Omega as the case manager and videographer, respectively.
In Lori's episode, "There's No Place Like Hell," which launched the series in October, sunset is upon the quiet town of Fayetteville, W.Va., as the Settle family unpacks their new home. For Settle, a newly remarried mother, it’s the start of an exciting new adventure as a homeowner. But just one week after moving in, Settle notices that her every move seems to be overshadowed by a macabre presence following her around the house. Strange occurrences begin to spook the family, but when the incidents become physical confrontations, Settle starts to fear that a deadly force is on the loose in her home.

America's Most Haunted - AMH Talks MAKING MONSTERS with Ed and Marsha Edmunds
play

09/19/12 • 62 min

It's time for season two of Travel Channel's Making Monsters featuring Distortions Unlimited, the Colorado-based “haunt industry” animatronic and prop-making company run by Ed and Marsha Edmunds.
Ed Edmunds created a revolutionary, rock style haunted house called Brutal Planet, lauded by Alice Cooper, creating such a buzz that Six Flags had Distortions duplicate it for 16 theme park locations across the country. He also invented an Electric Chair animatronic which has become a centerpiece for haunted houses from coast to coast.
Edmund’s fascination with sci-fi flicks and television began as a teenager while living in rural Illinois. He studied Art Education at the University of Northern Colorado. Edmunds used his artistic abilities to make and sell high-quality masks, which eventually led to the creation of his company, Distortions Unlimited.
Marsha Taub-Edmunds began working for Ed Edmunds in 1981 - she became intrigued by the creations and took it upon herself to learn the business inside and out. Marsha and Ed connected through their shared artistic passion and wed in 1992; they have been running Distortions Unlimited as a team ever since.
This season on Making Monsters, we'll see a red-eyed, smoke-breathing tiki for a haunt on the Hawaiian island of Oahu; a creepy, spitting, twisting centipede for Atlanta’s Netherworld; an iconic stage mask for Megadeth, and much more!

AMH Welcomes the GHOSTBREAKERS!

America's Most Haunted

play

01/23/13 • 60 min

FINALLY, someone got it right! The next evolution in paranormal television has arrived. GHOSTBREAKERS turned the para world on its head when it debuted last fall on YouToo Social Television Network.
Reality tv meets scripted comedy in this one of a kind series that follows a team of paranormal investigators on their mission to do what no other program has done before: SHOW YOU THE GHOST! In a style all their own (but not unlike Reno 911) the Ghostbreakers are faced with all the challenges of a busy ghost hunting team; personality clashes, colorful clients, equipment issues, psychic dead zones, and temperamental ghosts.
The show stars team leader Joey Greco, psychic Shanda Lee Munson, security specialist Bryan Massey, and technician Gabriel Horn. Horn, along with Benjamin Wilbanks, created the show with New Palace Films.
The Ghostbreakers hold nothing back, including their real names, as they face a new challenge every week and use their combined skills to help their clients while documenting the ultimate proof of the paranormal.
The Ghostbreakers are the most unique, dedicated, interesting, and lovably flawed team of paranormal investigators ever portrayed on television. Sometimes the scariest things they run into on a case isn't the ghost but the people they've come to help. You'll laugh with them not at them as they navigate the world of the living while on a quest for the dead.
When the going gets ghostly, the GHOSTBREAKERS have "got your back."

In the 1600's, Countess Elizabeth Bathory slaughtered more than 600 young women, believing that if she bathed in the blood of virgins she would stay young and beautiful forever. Still alive today, she's found a perfect hunting ground as an abstinence educator in conservative America, and the young ladies of San Griento High are poised to be her next victims. But will her unholy ritual finally be stopped by Leah Ratliff (Allison Scagliotti), feminist blogger and ambitious reporter for the school paper?
Louise Griffiths made her 2006 film debut in '06 horror movie THE DEVIL'S CHAIR, booked her first lead role in dark comedy THE REVENANT, and appeared in ALL'S FAIRE IN LOVE, starring Christina Ricci and Matthew Lillard. She's also recognized from viral ad campaign for Axe shower gel co-starring Jaime Pressly, Axe Cleans Your Balls.
Lotti Pharriss Knowles co-produced HBO Documentary Films’ VITO, produced feature I AM DIVINE, and award-winning shorts SHADOW.NET and WEAK SPECIES. Her original screenplay for CHASTITY BITES was a semi-finalist in the Acclaim Film & Television Screenwriting Competition.
John V. Knowles directed techno-thriller short SHADOW.NET, based on a WIRED Magazine article about the underground world of Internet movie piracy. He formed Weirdsmobile Productions in 2005 with wife and producing partner, Lotti. In 2011 he formed Conceptive, Inc. to create broadcast-quality branded entertainment for the web.
