Mary is the Founder of Care Through the ArtsSM; a public speaker; an educator; the designer and facilitator of "Self-Care for Caregivers Through Creative Writing: Respite, Relaxation, Rejuvenation and Revelation”. She is an arts strategist, practitioner, and arts advocate for older adults and caregivers. Mary also cohosts Dementia and the Arts with Lori La Bey, which highlights the artwork of people living with dementia.
