🟡 Maceo’s ADHD: Unlocking Creative Freedom, Managing Conflicting Needs and the Pursuit of an Interesting Life
All Day Dreaming04/19/24 • 60 min
Maceo Paisley is one of the most interesting and creative people I know. He’s a multi-disciplinary artist, designer, and cultural producer who explores themes of society and identity through movement, language, and imagery.
The unique way he thinks about the world and moves within it can only come from a beautifully mad scientist ADHD brain like his.
He has expressed his thoughts in many forms, including as the author of the book Tao of Maceo, curator at the Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit, and TED speaker.
We talk about how his parents curated a creative home, the way he redefines masculinity, builds flexible ADHD systems for productivity, and why he turned down art school for the US Army.
Enjoy my conversation with Maceo Paisley.
