In this episode, we explore the immense potential of community-owned sports DAOs with Shannon Lanigan, a steward at Krause House DAO and core member of All in for Sport. Krause House made history as the first DAO to own a professional basketball team, with their ownership of the Ball Hogs Big 3 team. All in for Sport, on the other hand, is a funding platform for community-led sports projects, and their inaugural initiative is restoring basketball courts in the Philippines.

Working at the confluence of design, community, NFTs, and DAOs in web3, Shannon provides insight into her introduction to web3 via NFTs and how these digital assets can be utilized for fundraising, as evidenced by the $4M Krause House NFT fundraiser.

Additionally, we delve into Arkive, a pioneering community-curated, onchain museum.

Alex Poon, serial entrepreneur and co-founder CharmVerse shares his journey into Web3 and the founding of CharmVerse, a holistic tool uniquely designed to support the needs of Web3 communities. From NFT and gaming communities like Game7 to DAOs such as Orange DAO, Bit DAO and Impact DAOs like Kokonut Network, CharmVerse is hugely popular. This episode discusses the many tools they replace, build-in public functionality, the distinction between traditional organizations and web3 communities, and Alex's advice to new builders.

What we love about CharmVerse is that they are building out an Impact DAO template and are great champions of Impact DAOs, with many Impact DAOs using them for end-to-end community management.
