Episode 12 - LaVena Johnson
Ale and Agony - A true crime podcast
10/06/21 • 30 min
Hello there, and welcome to episode 12 of Ale and Agony!
Today I am drinking a can of Bangin' and I will be telling you about the case of LaVena Johnson.
LaVena Johnson was found dead in her army barracks just 10 days before her 20th birthday, the army ruled her death as a suicide. But after her family saw her broken nose, broken jaw, and her black eyes, they started to question what really happened to their daughter.
In this episode show notes, you will find the link to the documentary which I found on YouTube, it contains footage from the Documentary The Silent Truth, but WARNING - Very graphic images are shown.
I will also link to a new podcast I discovered whilst researching this case, called Women and Crime and they are fantastic, super insightful.
Please also sign the petition listed to help reopen LaVena's case for investigation.
