Alchemy with Bronwyn

Imagine a life where you are in harmony with nature's rhythm, embracing the wisdom of seasonal cycles for better health and overall well-being. In this winter season, I invite you on a journey of self-discovery. Dive into the mysteries of water element and kidneys, the essence of winter, and learn how to slow down and turn inward in sync with nature's rhythm. Explore the timeless wisdom of ancestral cultural traditions that can bring tranquility and wellness during these chilly and dark days.
As we navigate through the heart of winter, we shift the focus to the power of dreaming, intuition and the crucial role of rest and reflection. Explore the art of setting intentions before sleep and the significance of concentrating on relaxing activities during winter months. We challenge conventional perceptions of strength, looking at it from a lens of longevity and harmony with nature. From nourishing yin to finding deep rest in the heart of winter, we discuss the importance of tapping into the quiet winter retreat that shamans traditionally practice. Discover how aligning our conduct with nature can replenish your energy and uplift your spirit.
Winter is of the water element and it is the perfect time to dive into the contemplation of the wisdom of not knowing. It is the yin wisdom of water - Wu Wei - the way of the water and the Tao. The Tao advises us that it is ‘best to be like water'. Water flows to the lowest places. Nothing is quite like it in wearing away the hard’ and seemingly unmovable forces in our lives.
In our bodies, the water element is contained in the energy of the Kidneys. They are vulnerable to being depleted by the emotion of fear and are made buoyant by trusting in the not knowing of life. At some point, it is wise to deeply feel the energy of fear in our bodies and recognize it as a fundamentally safe experience. The fear of the fear and the running from it is what really brings about suffering and confusion.
Winter is the optimal time to cultivate trust in the divine orchestration of everything occurring in our lives and embrace it as the pathway to our awakening. Winter is about stillness, about turning inward, and about being in a deep process of hibernation. It is when the shamans ride the dragons into the still lakes of silent retreat for the darker months.

Autumn Equinox: How to Embrace Balance, Let Go, and Harmonize with Seasonal Wellbeing

Autumn is the time to let go of that which is no longer serving us, to harvest that which we manifested over the warmer seasons, and to turn our energy inward and towards reflection. During the fall, our environment becomes more and more yin. As harvests are finishing up, a pleasant stillness arrives. It is the time of the metal element, characterized by cool, dry wind and a vulnerability for lung ailments.

Autumn is the time to pull inward and gather our qi into ourselves on all levels as we organize the scattered and spontaneous patterns of the summer months and harmonize with our inner worlds. It is an excellent time to feel grief, let go, and allow what is.
During this episode, I go through healthy practices to attune to the season and mitigate the drying effects. Learn practical tools and lifestyle tips to align your energies with the seasonal qi of this time.
