Tonight on Alchemist Radio, I’ll discuss UFC 179 and the Jose Aldo-Chad Mendes fight and preview Titan FC 31 which takes place on Friday night at the USF Sundome in Tampa, FL. The card will be headlined by a five round lightweight title bout between Mike Ricci and Yoshiyuki Yoshida.
My first guest is coming off his first professional loss, but has nothing to hang his head about. Featherweight Charles Rosa battled UFC veteran for three rounds at UFC Fight Night 53 in Sweden. It was not only his UFC debut, but he took the fight on a week’s notice. Rosa and Siver put on an exciting three round fight that netted each man an additional $50k for winning the Fight of the Night award.
Welterweight Tyler Stinson is a veteran of Bellator, Strikeforce and the WSOF. He has a record of 27-10 and will look to win his 28th fight when he faces Jose Figueroa on the main card of Titan FC 31. Stinson certainly knows how to finish his fights as he has won 19 by KO/TKO and six via submission. They will lead off the televised portion of the card which will air on the CBS Sports Network beginning at 10pm EST. Figueroa is a former M-1 lightweight champion and presents a tough test for Stinson.

We will speak to UFC #1 welterweight contender Robbie Lawler who is getting ready to face Johny Hendricks at UFC 181 on December 6. Hendricks defeated Lawler to capture the vacant UFC welterweight title at UFC 171. Lawler defeated Matt Brown to earn his second crack at Hendricks.
Hayder Hassan will join us to discuss his upcoming bout against Felipe Portela at Titan FC 31 on Halloween night at the USF Sundome in Tampa, FL. Their welterweight bout will be televised on the CBS Sports Network beginning at 10pm ET.
Desmond Green is a former Bellator featherweight tournament finalist. With a record of 13-3 it came as quite a shock when he was released from the promotion. Titan FC scooped him right up and in his organizational debut he will face former WEC bantamweight champion Miguel Torres in the co-main event of Titan FC 31. Green has been training at Tri-Star for this fight and is looking to show the world he is one of the top featherweights in the world.

Sons of Anarchy stars Kim Coates (Tig) and Theo Rossi (Juice) return to the show to discuss season 7 of the FX hit series. Alchemist MMA Radio - Vinny Magalhaes & Eddie Gordon on Alchemist Radio Tonight
play

10/01/14 • 110 min

Tonight on Alchemist Radio we’ll review this past weekend’s plethora of MMA including Titan FC 30 and UFC 178.
Vinny Magalhaes stepped inside the Titan FC Hexagon for the very first time on Friday night and walked out with a shiny new title around his waist. Magalhaes and Jason Brilz battled back and forth for three rounds, but early on in the fourth round, Magalhaes landed a head kick and then cinched in a fight ending guillotine choke to become the Titan FC light heavyweight champion.
Eddie Gordon is back and after some serious campaigning, the Freeport native got his wish and will be competing against Josh Samman at UFC 181 in December. Gordon was excited about the prospects of competing on the same card as his friend and teammate, UFC middleweight champion Chris Weidman, but because of an injury, Weidman vs Vitor Belfort was pushed back a few months. Gordon has been preparing for a fight for weeks now in the hopes he would get the call from the UFC at anytime.
