06/25/24 • 157 min
We’re back with another AFTN Soccer Show packed full of Vancouver Whitecaps, Canadian national team, Euros 2024, and Copa America chat. The football keeps coming and so do the podcasts, and we're joined by AFTN writer Felipe Vallejo to talk about it all.
It was a derby day to forget for Vancouver, who hit the self-destruct button in a 2-0 road loss down in Portland. We pick over the bones of that one, delve into the Whitecaps' current woes as they slide down the standings, and hear the postgame thoughts of Vanni Sartini.
We move on to the international stage and the disappointing travels of Scotland at the 2024 Euros, as they crash out with a whimper. Plus we look at the rest of the tournament so far before turning our attention to Copa America and Canada's starting loss to Argentina. It's not been a great footballing week for our teams, but at least Canada were spirited in defeat!
All of this, plus we look at Vancouver FC big weekend loss in CPL action, take you back to 1974, continue our Album of the Month from Heavenly and bring you another Euro 2024 themed song in Wavelength.
