Hello, and welcome to a special episode of Adventures in Advising, a podcast hosted by Colum Cronin and Matt Markin.
COVID-19 has been declared a global pandemic by the World Health Organisation (WHO). It has affected the lives of billions of people around the world.
It has a huge impact on all aspects of the the Higher Education sector; many institutions have moved or are moving all their teaching and assessment online, and have asked faculty and staff to work remotely.

In this special episode Colum and Matt speak to advisors at a number of institutions to discuss the impact the virus has had. They reflect upon the concerns of international students, a particularly vulnerable cohort, thousands of miles away from home and anxious about immigration regulations. And explore the agility needed to respond to and cope with this constantly evolving situation.
