Advancing Humanity
Beth Cannon is a Motivational Speaker and Educator who delivers inspiring and engaging messages to the Early Education Community. She uses powerful tools to connect teams so they will perform well that she has acquired over the past 20 years in the field of education. Her message captures women since the early education community is mostly female dominated, and the content sheI delivers is themed as “better together” since she provides her teams practical steps to a more powerful connection. She says that we need to prepare to support our kids and families in the Early Learning system, and embracing the “is what it is” approach with the attitude that we will do the best that we can as educators. She says that our willingness to lean in to a growth mindset instead of a fixed mindset is how we will find success as we return to the school year in the midst of a pandemic. Being a good leader is genuinely supporting your staff when returning to school and giving them opportunities to take space when they need it. Yoga is a great way to incorporate a mind-body-emotion connection as a way to cope through a transition like staff and students are making back to school. She says that if we could choose silence over screaming and retreat instead of speak the world would be a much better place. Beth presents both live and virtually as a keynote speaker with powerful and unique keynote and workshop topics. Though she mostly provides professional development for early educators, she also speaks at entrepreneur events and church retreats. Beth also offers online courses for staff development with instant access and certificates available upon completion. As a Master level Trainer registered with the Texas Early Childhood Professional Development System, she is sure to provide early educators a fun, upbeat, original presentation that is memorable and useful. 56. Space & Missile Innovation - How is space technology supporting our future?

Todd Wiest is a retired Colonel in the United States Air Force and is now the Director Of Business Development - Space & Missiles at Quantech Services, Inc. He provides insight into the future of space travel and innovations that will change the face of humanity. Todd studied the issues that occurred with the Challenger explosion in the 1980’s and says that after several launch failures in the 90s, they have learned a lot about the technology behind a successful launch, which is why we have advanced so much. We also discussed the issues of climate change and population increase, we may need to look elsewhere to repopulate, potentially outside of this earth or on an orbited International Space Station type dwelling. At the time of this recording, Elon Musk’s SpaceX has just launched its first two astronauts to space for the first time in history on a privatized rocket. They are sending small satellites up to space which fall into the categories of geo, heo or leo. The geo satellite is spinning at the same time and rate as the earth so the satellite follows that same spot on the earth which is why you are always locked on. GPS helps you have the ability to drive to different locations and timing it will take to get there. Satellites also help up with national security to tell us where missiles are facing and when they launch. In the future, Elon Musk is actually working on providing internet called Starlink to connect people throughout the whole work since continents like Africa only have about 40% connectivity and miniaturization is how we will advance in the future by leveraging space. Space technology has led us to the technology we have with the internet and cell phones. The Apollo actually had diverse teams that pioneered many applications and devices we have improved upon that allows us the convenience and communication we have today.
