ADP Payroll Around The World

With strong connections to Europe, the Americas and Asia, Australia has many opportunities for growth in both established and untapped markets. Changing regulations, especially in areas such as inclusive parental leave, additional leave for volunteer firefighters, as well as a crackdown on wage theft, make for an exciting payroll landscape.

In this first episode of Payroll Around the World, we explore the world of payroll down under. ADP experts Kylie Baullo and Graham Coutts share their expertise with listeners and provide detailed insight into what makes payroll unique in Australia, including new leave laws, why wage theft is such a serious issue in the country, and the need to adapt to rapidly changing legislation. We also speak to Peter, who lives and works in Tasmania and recently became a father, about how Australia’s newly expanded parental leave laws allow him and his wife to raise their family without either one having to put their career on the back burner.

Payroll around the world

Welcome to ADP Payroll Around The World brought to you by ADP and Storythings!

Running payroll is a massive undertaking that goes beyond issuing paychecks to employees. From adhering to labor laws to staying on top of last-minute legislative changes, payroll is no casual undertaking for multinational companies seeking to make their mark across the globe. That’s why the more global you are, the more crucial it becomes to truly understand your chosen locations' local rules, regulations, and customs. Running payroll in India will be very different from running payroll in Brazil or France.

So, we’ve created ADP Payroll Around the World to be your go-to guide for in-depth analysis and expert compliance insight into the world of work and pay, with each episode focusing on a different country. Every episode features ADP experts who live and work in the location we’ll be highlighting.

In this series, we’ll be heading to Australia, India, France, the UK and we’ll also touch down in the USA, Brazil, Germany, and many other international destinations. You’ll also hear from local people who share their experiences with work and pay. Because, at the end of the day, payroll is about people.

After all, for payroll to be truly global, it needs to be local as well.
