Jen (Actor) and Snejina (Agent) discuss their first ever meeting many moons ago that all stemmed from a representation email. Now, living in separate countries, they are best friends using this time to go over first impressions. Whilst other episodes will be more industry based, this first episode gives you a sense of our humours and an insight into our personalities.
If you want to dive right in, I'd head to episode two which is all about Extra Work/Background/Supporting Artist/Background Actor and our experiences within in that and whether it's worth it from an acting and from an agency perspective.

First ever guest on Actor & Agent and it's the greatest of all beings... The Joshua Young. He's primarily a screenwriter but to us, we've seen him wear many hats. He been an actor, an acting coach, voice artist, producer, video editor ... and I'm sure I still haven't covered it all. Joshua and Jen used to live together in Vancouver, BC in an Earth worm and centipede infested basement apartment (for their first apartment) and became each others champion.
After listening to this episode you'll understand why we are all friends. In this episode Joshua talks his way in to the industry... where he hopes to keep pushing and how much blood he's donated.... it's A LOT!

Snejina gets into the nitty gritty of the main pitfalls to avoid when you're represented and how you can stand out of the crowd. Snejina owns two agencies. One for talent (actors, voiceover etc) and the other for the modelling side in Vancouver, Canada.
Extremely informative at giving anyone a clearer idea of the day-to-day trials and tribulations of agenting.
Next week... a guest!

Our light-hearted chat continues as two best friends that happen to also be an Actor and an Agent.
We talk our experiences of both being on set as background/supporting artists/extras. Snejina talks the other side of also having worked in Background Casting and also being a BG Agent. The drop out rate for some shows and excuses. Whilst Jen covers how she then felt being on set as an actor around other BG when something goes wrong.
Comparison between the UK and Canada.

This week is just Snejina and Jen again talking the ups and downs of the industry... honestly, how we get some escapism. Escapism can be through TV, Film, a bath or a good old fashioned book about murder. This episode might not sound lighthearted but there's a lot to enjoy about this... including Snejina singing mockingly about women's obsession with murder stories.

We get to chat with American actor Brian Villalobos and do some time travel. After some major technical difficulties at the top of the episode... we talk about Brian's recommended IMDb credit from the reams of work he's done, Snejina's favourite BG casting credit, cultural differences, Tim Horton's... The is even an Accent Off! Brian gives his best UK accent (which news flash... is awesome) and Jen goes with some U.S. accents. Laughs to be had with this one!
Brian's bio:
Brian Villalobos is an award-winning actor, writer, and filmmaker who has appeared in more than 100 films, commercials, and stage productions, playing such varied roles as Macbeth, Gotham City Police Commissioner James Gordon, and (very briefly) Raphael, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle. He lives in Texas with his family, a phalanx of dogs and cats, and a borderline obsession with Paul Verhoeven's Robocop (1987).

Still getting to grips here with this app but this is my podcast I cohost. I’m the ‘actor’ part of this contingent and Snejina being the talent agent. We talk the industry from both sides as well as in two different countries. I’m based in the UK and Sneji is in Canada. We have guests that so far have come from Australia, Canada, America and the UK. More to come! It’s comedic and informative.
