Accidental Hope10/02/19 • 44 min
This week Jennifer interviews Courtney Kaplan, mom of 5 amazing kids, who recently suffered an unthinkable tragedy when her son, Mikey Sigler, was involved in a motorcyle accident. The accident ultimately claimed his life. Before his accident Mikey made the decision to become an organ donor, giving life to others through his passing. As she walked out the grief and pain of losing her son, Courtney and her family became a beacon of hope to many in their community as she forgave the other driver involved in her son's accident, encouraged the students at his school to think of her son and became an organ donor and safety advocate. She shares a bittersweet, compelling message of faith, hope and forgiveness as she testifies about Mikey's legacy that lives on through her family and community. Isaiah 61:3 New Living Translation (NLT)To all who mourn in Israel, he will give a crown of beauty for ashes, a joyous blessing instead of mourning, festive praise instead of despair. In their righteousness, they will be like great oaks that the Lord has planted for his own glory."
