She started the Josh Powell Foundation in his honor to help encourage newly diagnosed patients and fulfill wishes of those running out of time. At 33, she started IVF to have her late husband's baby. Two years later, still no baby, but by the grace of God and an incredible team of doctors, she’s still fighting for their dream. She shares her story to give others hope and remind them that joy does coexist alongside unimaginable pain.

Lydia Dominick of Buffalo, NY is a successful business owner, running a popular balloon company and also working to beautify women through services like lashes and makeup. She also founded Buffalo Gives after the war on Ukraine broke out. What started as requests for food, diapers and combat supplies from those in her community turned into boots on the ground work in Poland and Ukraine to save many lives through donations of bullet proof vests and other tactical gear.

She has traveled overseas and is continuing her life-changing work as the war wages on. She is also offering instrumental work right in her hometown, supporting those in need.

In 2012, a baby girl was born without a right or left hemisphere of her brain. Doctors said she was essentially in a vegetative state, unable to see or hear. Relinquished by her birth parents, this two-week-old unnamed baby girl found her way to Cori Salchert’s home. Despite the infant's grim medical diagnosis, Cori took the baby and named her Emmalynn. Ever since that moment, Cori has been on a quest to help other hospice babies, those left to live and die without family to care for them. Bringing these fragile babies into her home, Cori and her family have promised not only to hold them briefly, until their last breath, but to love them forever and always.

It is not the goal for these children to be adopted to families outside of Uganda, but rather to treat them and come up with a resettlement plan, so they are able to return to their families once they are healthy. Grace, who works alongside her mom, Suzanne, and a team of devoted staff in Tennessee and Uganda, have saved the lives of countless children and do so with a faith-filled mission and compassionate actions. She was kidnapped by a stranger who grabbed her from the street just feet away from her home and forced her into his car. The man, later identified as felon and pedophile, Curtis Dean Anderson, kept her in his vehicle for several days until she made a courageous escape through his car window. A trucker saw her in a panicked state and pulled over to rescue her.

Now, decades later, Midsi is finding purpose as an advocate for missing children. She is a guest speaker all across the nation and started the Midsi Sanchez Foundation to support families that are enduring the tragic and painful reality of a loved one who is missing. She is turning her pain into HOPE for others.

Midsi still lives in California and is the proud mother of a daughter.
