James is the owner of several forward thinking record labels, and was the curator of the international Spark Festival of Electronic Music.

Flosstradamus (aka Curt Cameruci) is a well-established American DJ and producer. Currently based in Los Angeles, Flosstradamus came to prominence in Chicago while collaborating with artists such as Major Lazer, Matt & Kim, A-Trak, Baauer, and others. In recent years he's collaborated with hip hop legends including G.T.A, Lil’ Jon, Waka Flocka Flame, Post Malone and Travis Porter. Career highlights over the past decade include iconic tracks like Major Lazer’s “Original Don” (Flosstradamus Remix), “CROWD CNTRL,” “Mosh Pit,” “TTU (Too Turnt Up),” “Soundclash” (with Troy Boi), and “Prison Riot.”
In addition to Curt's musical endeavors, he's been an influencer in the crypto and NFT industry, developing his own smokeable vape tied to an NFT using blockchain technology. Curt also presented at the 2022 NFT | LA conference, and started a company helping artists connect with fans using NFT's through his company LBRATD.

Jules also worked with Electronic Creatives, a team of playback engineers working alongside Platinum & Grammy artists from studio to stage founded by Laura Escude. He managed the entire Transmute educational program created by Laura, helping artists build their advanced live performance rigs using Ableton Live.

Adam Fangsrud has been an Ableton Certified Trainer since 2011. He is the owner and head engineer at Red Sun Mastering and plays in the electropop duo Flatliner, as well as producing solo techno as Kro. In addition to private instruction, Adam teaches Ableton Live for the Austin, TX based 'Dadageek Academy'. He is equally capable in the hardware and software realms, specializing in production, mixing, mastering, sound design and generative composition using Max for Live.
Mélanie Frisoli is a composer, sound designer, field recordist, trained audio engineer and educator based in Montreal. She is the first female Ableton Certified Trainer in Canada, with over fifteen years of experience in the music industry. Mélanie has released six albums under the name Mell, and spent years traveling around the globe performing full-time. She has also composed music for documentaries and theater plays, and is an expert using Max For Live.
Misty Jones is a Nashville-based music producer and assistant professor at Middle Tennessee State University and has been an Ableton Live user since 2007. She went on to receive a Master of Music degree in Music Technology Innovation at Berklee Valencia in Spain, where she developed her “Orbit Suit,” using Live and controllers to “remix” a guitar player in real time on stage. In addition to teaching synthesis, MIDI and Ableton Live at MTSU, she devotes time to the scholarly research of pop music evolution and trends, training producers and developing curriculum. In her spare time, she loves remixing, mashups and sample/granular-based composition.

In this episode, Rossteaux and Dan talk about their process behind running CitySound Indy, a virtual music festival with 19 artists using next-gen software.
CitySound Indy is an online music festival on New Years Eve with 2 stages hosting some of Indy’s more recognized electronic music producers and DJ’s. With 19 local acts performing on two virtual “stages”, CitySound NYE is a free online festival raising awareness about homelessness in Indy, while also providing financial support to those who need it most this Winter.
The event was founded by Ross Phillips, a full-time lighting programmer, laser operator, entertainment designer, and system tech for many highly regarded festivals and gatherings. He partnered with Clark Crosser, the owner of LDR Studios in Noblesville, IN to create a virtual (green screen) environment for the artists to perform in. Ross also teamed up with Dan Giffin, a local music producer, educator, and Grammy experienced audio engineer to pull off this event.
