Gorden Fleming, Pastor of Hope Community Church - Cotswold campus in Charlotte, North Carolina. Gorden and Tim reflect on their shared experience of a short-term missions trip to Uganda in 2012, and the impact it continues to have on their lives to this day.
On the next episode we will hear from Levi, Bess, and Vanndel Chinchen as they share about Project Juembo, an annual ABC short-term missions project that blesses the lives of primary school children in Malawi each year.

Deo was part of the most recent graduating class from ABC's Uganda campus - African Bible University (ABU) in Lubowa on the outskirts of Uganda's capital city, Kampala. Deo was born and raised in the central region of Uganda in Kampala. He finished at ABU with a Bachelor's of Biblical Studies with an emphasis in Communication. He hopes to attend seminary soon, after which he would like to enter into church planting and/or pastoral ministry in a local church in Uganda.

Clement Tendo is currently a student at Westminster Theological Seminary in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He began his studies at Westminster in the Fall of 2019 after graduating earlier that year from African Bible University, the Uganda campus of ABC located in Kampala. Clement was born and raised in the Democratic Republic of Congo, and throughout most of his childhood experienced life in a war-zone with the repeated conflicts in Congo as well as the genocide in neighboring country, Rwanda. Clement's desire is to return to Congo for a life of Gospel ministry when he has completed his degree at Westminster.

Since his graduation from ABC Blessings has worked for LIVE LOVE MALAWI, a Christian wholistic community development organization serving in rural areas of Malawi. Blessings is now Country Director for LIVE LOVE Malawi; he leads of team of ABC students and alumni as they build self-sufficient sustainable communities. LIVE LOVE was founded by Paul Gunther, the missions pastor at The Grove Church in Chandler, AZ. The Grove is one ABC’s most committed strategic Church partners, and their Lead Pastor is Palmer Chinchen, twin brother of ABC President Paul Chinchen.

ABC Mission Partners Podcast - Interview with ABC Graduate and ABC Professor Bentry Mhango

On this episode of the ABC Mission Partners Podcast you will get to know Bentry Mhango. Bentry graduated from African Bible College in Malawi in the early 1990’s after which he came to the US and received his Master’s of Divinity Degree at Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, MS. Bentry then returned to Africa to teach at ABC. He spent seven years teaching Bible and theology at ABC’s Uganda campus ABU before returning to his home in Malawi where he is now the head of the Bible and Theology Department at ABC Malawi. Bentry’s wife Hluphe is also an ABC alum; she graduated from our Uganda campus in 2015. Bentry and Hluphe have two children, a boy and a girl: Bongani (age 12) and Thando (age 7).

You will hear from three of the members of the Psalm Project Africa team: Migisho Gady, Kalenzi Robert, and Inge van den Berge. Gady and Robert are graduates of ABC Uganda, and Inge taught at ABC during her time as a missionary in Uganda.
Gady, Robert and Inge all share great insights into the importance of worship music, and the singing of Scripture in the context of the African Church.
