On today's episode, we're chatting with Matt Lambros [afterthefinalcurtain], an architectural photographer based in New England. Matt has followed his passion all over the USA of documenting the decay of America’s abandoned theaters hoping to shed light on these forgotten buildings and the ongoing efforts to repurpose them. He has released three books showcasing his work with forgotten theaters. This episode explores the history and interworkings of theaters over the last century. Join us today as we chat with Dave [Insanectuary], a Former Massachusetts based explorer who lives on the the west coast now. He has been documenting abandoned asylums since the early 2000’s. In his words, he became obsessed with the deep history and purpose of these institutions. That’s why he made it his goal to educate, document and bring awareness to America’s asylums before they are gone. Join us as we chat about some of Dave’s adventures and take a deep dive into the history of these rapidly disappearing institutions.
