Carolyn Burgess’ quilt Wings of Hope caught my eye as I scrolled through Facebook. Then after seeing her post the Angels of Hope quilt, I had to contact her for an interview. Yes, there is a story behind these beautiful quilts and of course I wanted to hear Carolyn’s story. For those of you who applique, you’ll want to check out her studio Appliques, Quilts and More.
Carolyn's favorite quilt
This closeup shoes the ruching (Sewing ruching is simply a way of gathering, pleating, or the folding of extra fabric)
And her Wings of Hope

Carolina Moore
Carolina Moore is a professional blogger, craft and quilting book author, notions inventor, and award-winning quilter living in sunny San Diego, California. It was fun to get to know her background and how quilting has become such a part of her interesting life.
When Carolina was designing this quilt back in October, she remembered looking at the layout and thinking to herself “oooh... that’s a stunner.” And that is how this quilt got its name: The Stunner Quilt.
This quilt is an example of the Free Ruler of the Month pattern that you can find on Carolina's website. Always Expect Moore.com

Debi Montgomery
I have been following Debi Montgomery on her Mystery Quilts Anonymous Facebook Group for awhile now and love her mystery quilts. I want to read something that one of her other followers wrote to her as it tells how wonderful Debi is. They wrote, “You spend your time encouraging over 10 thousand quilters to know that they can accomplish what they set out to do. I am proud to say that I joined this group when there were less than 1000 members, and have watched you grow on this journey, as well as learned many tips and made quilts that I never would have thought I could. You are a most generous, kind hearted and wonderful woman, and I’m privileged to call you my friend.” Here's Debi's design - Party Poppers You can find Debi on: Mystery Quilts Anonymous Website Mystery Quilts Anonymous Facebook Group mystery_quilts_anonymous on Instagram
