A is X: A Nintendo Podcast
01/24/22 • 48 min
Activision Blizzard now belongs to Microsoft. It's a big deal. While every other podcast will pontificate over the details of which games go where, and whether this is a move that will even be allowed by the government, this Pinecone broadcast aims to hit a different topic of conversation. People. Will the work culture be changed just because based Uncle Phil is now in charge? Is it naive to think that one large corpo eating another is somehow something that should be cheered on? What about the creative aspect of all this, will the art suffer? The Captain weighs in.

In this wrap up Morgan goes over several categories selected painstakingly from a panel of...who are we kidding. He just picked it all himself. This awards show is a sham...and NO we WON'T call them the "Pineys" either so stop asking.

The Captain has embarked on a new quest: streaming on Twitch. If you're a fan of the phrase "I mentioned this on the show," or "We talked about this last stream," then this is the episode for you. A strange man in a strange unfamiliar land, Morgan Remington describes his review process for Pokemon Legends Arceus while simultaneously setting the ground rules for his Mad Max style chat room etiquette. A chat room for all to criticize and examine games on an extremely granular level, a place for all people of all kinds to gather under one roof to complain about the industry while keeping it respectful...Xanadu. It doesn't exist yet, but follow the Captain, and one day it will. The episode concludes with Guitar Hero and mid 2000's nostalgia talk.
