Aisha Ayensu is the award-winning founder and Creative Director of the Ghanaian based fashion house, Christie Brown. Inspired by her grandmother, Aisha launched the fashion line in 2008 and transformed it into a global brand with her unique creative eye for design and her entrepreneurial spirit. Aisha’s designs can be spotted worldwide on television, in films, and on celebrities like Beyoncé. In 2016, Ayensu was listed as one of Forbes' “Most Promising Entrepreneurs” and in 2019 was selected as the “African Designer of the Year” at the Glitz Style Awards. Aisha continues to inspire a new generation of African designers by demonstrating that a life led by faith, family, and fashion can have an impact on the world.

Miguel Antoinne always had an innate passion for design. The Jacksonville, Florida native packed his bags to head over to New York City to pursue his vision with full force. In addition to completing his studies at the Fashion Institute of Technology, Miguel worked in the buying office at Bloomingdale's in men's suits, sport jackets, trousers, and fine china. With a keen eye and unwavering drive to become an entrepreneur, Miguel learned as much as he could about the fashion business to start his own. His business acumen, combined with his impeccable design talent, led him to become one of the world's top luxury menswear designers.

Elliot Carlyle
Elliot Carlyle, a native Floridian, was musically gifted all of his life. With his eyes set on a successful musical career, Elliot suddenly lost his passion for performing and took some time to uncover a new direction for his life. Full of curiosity, Elliot took the leap and flew out to New York to attend fashion week. With a resilient determination to learn about the fashion industry, Elliot asked the questions necessary to untangle the web of what it took to make it. Carlyle eventually landed a position working at fashion week, transitioned into public relations, and would later accept a position to assist the founder of New York Fashion Week, Fern Mallis. After overcoming severe sickness and homelessness, Elliot prayed and persisted. He is now a successful consultant for the Council of Fashion Designers of America, an author, an empowerment speaker, a life coach, and a diversity and inclusion advocate. In this episode, Elliot openly shares the details of his journey and reminds us that what we’re called to do comes from within.
