After their encounter in the forest, the carriage races to the hidden village of Mercel deep in the forest. Mecel is a way station in the big forest where weary travelers can rest for the night, get a warm meal and share a beverage or two. The Carriage Driver goes to the pub for a meal and some ale and unexpectedly finds mi Lady there as well. Hidden among the crowd are Road Agents, Highwaymen and a group of mercenaries known as The Hessians. A heavy fog blankets the town and wolves are heard all around as the dangers of this journey start to unfold.

Chapter One - The Long Cold Ride

A young carriage driver is hired to take a beautiful woman across the country to visit her dying grandmother. Because time is short, they must travel through a dark forest. As they make their way under the cover of night, a mysterious blue-eyed creature follows them from her mansion. It is the late 1700's in Eastern Europe, a time of horse driven carriages, muskets, and hideous creatures of the night. Follow this action, adventure, horror, romance in 15 episodes beginning on a dark and cold night.

The action really picks up in this episode as the Carriage Driver is abruptly awakened by a panic ridden village. Fearing for their safety, the Carriage Driver and mi Lady make a fateful decision to flee the town and go back into the dark forest. But this may prove to have been an even bigger mistake!
