Welcome listeners to 5 Questions: A Critical Mass for the Visual Arts Podcast in which we ask 5 questions of our interviewees aimed at positioning and contextualizing their respective bodies of work within the St. Louis artworld.This episode we’re talking with Evan and Stacey.

Evan and Stacey are a collaborative duo from St. Louis, Missouri. They use various media and technologies to create works that represent and explore their personal experiences. In their recent work, they create architectural spaces to investigate accessibility and use sculptural objects as vehicles for memories. Evan is currently pursuing a Master of Fine Arts in Sculpture from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and received his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Sculpture from Webster University. Stacey holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Missouri and is a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Missouri.

5 Questions is a program by Critical Mass for the Visual Arts – a nonprofit, self-formed visual arts collaborative dedicated to promoting, enhancing and initiating contemporary visual art in the St. Louis region.

Emily Elhoffer is an interdisciplinary artist whose work is inspired by hidden forms and processes of the body. She received her BFA from Kansas City Art Institute, has opened an artist collective in St. Louis, and is an MFA candidate at Sam Fox School. Her work and is shown, installed, and collected in New York, Chicago, Milwaukee, Los Angeles, and St. Louis.
