Historically known as one of the largest coal producers during the industrial era, Britain has become the first G7 country to stop coal production today. In this episode, GJIA sits down with Frankie Moyo, a Senior Energy & Climate Analyst at the global energy think tank Ember. Frankie leads the UK policy analysis at Ember, focusing on renewable deployment, negative emissions technologies, and the cast of supporting technologies in the fossil fuel transition. He has previously produced future energy scenarios analysis for electricity networks and led innovative low-carbon heat designs.
