Created by Bill Finger and Bob Kane, Dick first appeared in comic books in April 1940, Detective Comics #38.
He quickly became the very first Robin, assisting Batman in his crime-fighting adventures. Dick has become a fan favourite, with a generation of comic book readers identifying with the young man's struggles to find his own path in life. As such, he's had many a transformation and journey, many of which we talk about in this episode.
