Walking from Philly to AC.
Explicit content warning
06/22/21 • 30 min
Host - Jason Peters sits down with Carlos Aponte of We Love Philly and two recent high school graduates to talk about education and why Jason and Carlos are walking 60 miles to the ocean.
We are walking to the ocean to raise money for Project Ownership, a project to transform a shipping container into a livable space that students will own and rent to tenants as an Airbnb in order to earn profit and invest in their own futures. Throughout the construction process, students will learn crucial professional and life skills that will empower them to overcome gentrification and poverty within their own neighborhoods.
