Welcome to 1 Minute Tips! When you decide to trade expectation for appreciation, you automatically get rid of a ton of extra emotional weight. When you keep expecting things to happen a certain way, and they don’t, you’ll often find yourself frustrated, sad, or even angry. And the worse part is that you will feel all of these bad emotions because you set yourself up to feel this way. I guarantee you that there’s no way you can feel grateful and a deep feeling of appreciation for your life — and feel angry, frustrated or depressed, at the same time. And by that I mean genuine appreciation. Not just forcing yourself to believe it, but truly experiencing it. Start your day thinking of all the people you appreciate, all the things you have in your life. Stop giving room for expectation, stop setting yourself up for bad emotions. Appreciate more, expect less. I’m Rod Gomes and I’ll come back with another 1 minute tip soon. Take care, stay active, stay positive!
