100Talk got everything we wanted for our 3rd podcast birthday: A banger Rec League, lots of fan content, gifted subs, and another 3-0 week from 100 Thieves. This LCS team is turning heads and making everyone take notice (Upcomer especially, amirite???). With 100T Finally being considered the top LCS contender, Jordan and Cole delight in the amazing position the team is in. Though the early game still needs to be shored up, the squad is lawnmowering through the rest of the field.

The dads take this opportunity to discuss whether an LCS title or a reasonable performance at Worlds would mean more, debate which roster moves Reapered could be hinting at making and what their significance would be, and monologue about what it has meant for this team to hit its stride in such a quick time.

100T turns in a PERFECT 2-0 weekend in the LCS and the dads come together to bask in the glory of crushing the LCS contender hydra’s final head. They also have to address that CLG game, which, yeah, whatever. Despite dropping one to the perma-CC comp, Jordan and Cole are super high on this 100 Thieves team, and there’s good reason to be. The impact of Reapered continues to be a major factor, and it’s looking like an impossible task for LCS teams to take down 100 Thieves in a best of 5. All of this and more in this week’s 100Talk.

100T in Sole Possession of 1st Place - LCS Summer 2021 Week 5 Recap

This weekend was a celebration of greatness - that’s right, another 3-0 weekend for the Thieves. 100T officially became the first team NOT named C9, TL, or TSM to hold sole possession of first place since Optic in 2019 (757 days). With the Thieves now a fully-established LCS favorite, both fans and the League community at large are putting the team under a microscope to magnify every flaw there is. We’ve reached it, y’all: the nitpicking phase. The dads come together to remind everyone that making mountains out of molehills is only natural when it comes to analyzing the favorite. They discuss which flaws may be indicative of a larger problem (spoiler alert: basically none) and make the case for this being a very good and complete team.

As usual, they also tackle a bevvy of listener takes and questions and make predictions for this weekend with Prophet Cole looking to take his undefeated summer split streak into week 6.
