100 Conversations

Today on the show, I interview Richard Fireman, who has been writing for over fifty years and has given readings at libraries and bookstores. Around 100 of his poems have been published, including two in the International Journal of Poetry Therapy. A chapter he wrote in 2009 was published in the book Writing Away the Demons, which collected thirteen writers' stories about how writing helped them deal with life crises. He is releasing a new collection in December titled Constellations. We talk about how he began writing and how tragic and beautiful events have shaped his work.
