Who am I?

I am a sailor, mindfulness teacher and cancer survivor...and host of Sailing Through Life. Life has taught me many lessons, some more than once. I continue to push myself to be the best I can be on a daily basis. After going through cancer and struggling to find how to apply ways to get back to a real life, I realized I needed to do more for myself...so I became certified as a mindfulness teacher to not only understand the principles of improving life, but to also help others do it as well. You can never learn and practice enough to have that incredible life, even after something so devastating.

My Show

What is my podcast about and/or how does it relate to the playlist topic you chose?

I started the podcast after going through cancer twice and felt there was a gap between the medical side of a diagnosis and the reality of living life after cancer. It has been a crazy and wonderful journey to host creative, intelligent and powerful people who have lived through challenges and created an incredible life from that. Some of it is the mindful aspect and some is put your big pants on and get it done. https://sailingthroughlifepodcast.com/

What is my podcast playlist about?

It is all relative to my person experience and what I hope to present to my listeners incorporating my experience in there as well.

3. Chris Beat Cancer: Heal With Nutrition & Natural Therapies

Why this podcast?

Alternative ways to handle your cancer journey through healthy food and mindset. Chris is relatable because of his cancer background.

A podcast about healing and preventing cancer with nutrition & natural therapies, and living life with joy and purpose! I was diagnosed with stage IIIC colon cancer in 2003, at 26 years old. I had surgery but refused chemotherapy. I chose faith over fear, changed my entire life, and used hardcore nutrition and natural therapies to heal. My doctor told me I was "Insane", but he was wrong. :) Today I am a best-selling author, blogger, global health & cancer coach, and speaker. My site (chrisbeatcancer.com) features articles about nutritional science, the cancer industry, and interviews with doctors, experts and survivors who have healed all types of cancer with nutrition and natural therapies. Show notes and links for all episodes at www.chrisbeatcancer.com/podcast. Tons of interviews with people who've healed cancer on my youtube channel (www.youtube.com/chrisbeatcancer). Always posting on facebook (www.facebook.com/chrisbeatcancer). Tweet at me! @chrisbeatcancer. And yes I'm on Instagram @chrisbeatcancer.
