Who am I?

Hello everyone! Welcome to my page. My name is Gissele Taraba and I'm the host of the Love and Compassion podcast with Gissele. I have two Masters degrees, numerous leadership certificates and worked in the not for profit world for many years. After burning out at work, I decided to take a good look at my life and finally do what I love. I love spreading love and compassion into the world. I also love helping individuals and organizations inject greater love and compassion into their lives and work. I am a mother of two amazing children and one dog child. I love reading, listening to audiobooks, gardening, travelling, k-beauty and skincare, being in community and listening to people's stories of overcoming great adversity. I also love talking about manifesting, real life magic and miracles, and abundance mindsets. Lastly, I'm the author of the book, Reimagining Work: from suffering at work to creating a more loving, compassionate, abundant and spiritually aligned life. Now available on amazon: https://www.amazon.ca/Reimagining-Work-Suffering-Compassionate-Spiritually-ebook/dp/B0C43Z1Y2X/ This book is the first book in a series on reimagining our life! I chose this subject because I was suffering with anxiety, panic attacks, and issues related to my life and at work. I realized that I needed to find love from within me, instead of expecting it to come from outside of me. I embarked on a journey to be more loving and compassionate towards myself. I took training on mindfulness and compassion, and became a teacher in training. Then I discovered my own compassionate voice, and started having conversations with people about what helped them be more loving towards themselves and others. I was fascinated to find that when people became more loving towards themselves, they could love others more. Once I found love and compassion for myself, my world changed. I started seeing that I was the creator of my life and that life my mirroring for me what I was feeling internally. Once I changed, my world changed. So I became more and more interested in sharing the message of how remembering our own love and compassion can help us shift our world. Right now there is so much division in the world. There is so much pain in the world, that we would all benefit from remembering that in our core we are truly loving and compassionate. Once we realize we don't have to hurt each other to get what we want and that scarcity is only a mindset, we can start to live our dreams.

My Show

What is my podcast about and/or how does it relate to the playlist topic you chose?

My podcast focuses on sharing extraordinary stories of compassion and love, for self and others. It relates to my playlist because the podcasts I choose are about empowerment, love, joy, and compassion. I have interviewed some incredible people on my podcast. For example, I chatted with someone who was pivotal in leading the white supremacy movement in Canada. He shares how compassion from a Jewish therapist as well as the unconditional love of his children, helped him face the shame of his actions and seek reparation. I also spoke to another woman who forgave the people who murdered her son for 40 dollars and take out. This woman now works to help young people address their traumas that can lead to crime. The podcasts I have selected also focus on ordinary people doing the extraordinary every day to overcome personal challenges.

What is my podcast playlist about?

While interviewing people for my podcast, I have found other podcasters who are doing amazing work. For example, one of my guests, Tammy Memme, host of Sell This House, has an amazing podcast called Life Masters which focuses on recovery from failure. She interviewed some of the most incredible people she knows on how they overcame great obstacles, to turn their lives around. This podcast is uplifting and will remind you of your own inner power. Another podcast guest, Harry Potvin, has his own podcast, the Mental Corner Podcast, where he talks about men's issues including body dysmorphia and mental health struggles. I believe this podcast opens the door to other men feeling positive about addressing mental health issues including those related to body issues. Lastly, we had a guest Scott who has his own podcast where I was a guest called the Unfiltered experience focusing on all things spirituality, empowerment, and love!

It’s time to toss aside the touchy-feely notions of love in business and recognize the real power it holds. Love is not only appropriate in the context of business, it’s the foundation of great leadership, and, therefore, the very foundation of a thriving, competitive enterprise. Welcome to the Love Is Just Damn Good Business podcast where host Steve Farber talks with business leaders who are operationalizing love as a strategic advantage.Farber’s guests share their proven strategies, inspiring case studies, and practical lessons on how to build corporate and team cultures based on love—the ultimate competitive advantage. You’ll discover why (and how) Love, at the end of the day, is just damn good business for you, too. Many businesspeople are frustrated by a gap between what they desire from their leadership and business efforts and what they’re able to accomplish; however, more and more successful leaders, executives, and entrepreneurs are successfully bridging that gap with phenomenal success. What is their secret? What code have they cracked? They go beyond the traditional definition of leadership to make a significant, positive difference on their own company or within the company that they work for. These are people who take their own personal development seriously and don’t see it as something contrary to their professional development. And at their core, they recognize that love is a powerful leadership and business principle—and they operationalize it in the way they work with colleagues, employees, and customers alike. The good news is that you can achieve that same level of success, too. Here on the Love Is Just Damn Good Business podcast, Steve Farber, Founder of The Extreme Leadership Institute, will be teaching you how to operationalize love as a business and leadership practice.Your competitive advantage comes from your customers and clients loving what you do for them. Customer “satisfaction” just isn’t enough anymore. So, how do you take your business to the highest level where your customers are your greatest advocates, your employees are your greatest performers and recruiters, and your personal fulfillment is at its peak?Farber has found that the only way to accomplish all of that in a meaningful and sustainable way over time is to operationalize love as a discipline and a practice rather than a soft, fluffy sentiment. So what does it look like to conduct your business that way? How do you show your customers that you really love them? And how do you create a culture that your employees, teammates, colleagues love working in? Business leaders have been asking these questions for years. In this show, Steve addresses those questions head on. Having had a broad exposure to a vast array of companies spanning three decades, Steve Farber has discovered that the practice of “doing what you love in the service of people who love what you do” is a powerful, universal leadership credo that runs through all county, industry, and company cultures.A subject-matter expert in business leadership and one of Inc’s global Top 50 Leadership and Management Experts, Steve is a leadership speaker and a senior-level leadership coach and consultant who has worked with and spoken to a wide variety of public and private organizations in virtually every arena – from the tech sector to financial services, manufacturing, health care, hospitality, entertainment, retail, and government. He is the bestselling author of Greater Than Yourself, The Radical Edge, and The Radical Leap, which was named one of the 100 Best Business Books of All Time. His much-anticipated new book, Love Is Just Damn Good Business, is in stores now. Steve’s passion is coaching and inspiring Extreme Leadership at all organizational levels by teaching leaders how to operationalize love as a discipline and a practice. Join him and his guests here on the podcast and learn specific ideas on how to operationalize love and be reenergized to make a significant difference in your businesses, personal life, and the world around you. After all, Love Is Just Damn Good Business!
