Who am I?

Sandy is a health care professional having served in numerous roles including physician consulting and working for a large healthcare insurance company. She has worked on the frontline addressing physician and subscriber issues and has heard first-hand the frustration and concern about affordability and navigating a complicated healthcare system. Sandy’s passion is to create a trusted source with Get Savvy…Demystifying Healthcare a podcast that breaks down the complexity of healthcare and empowers consumers to navigate the healthcare system. 1) There is no healthcare reform on the horizon and consumers superpower to navigating a complicated healthcare system is knowledge. 2) I worked at a large healthcare insurance company, and I know the good, and not so good consumers should be aware of. 3) I am a consumer and a caregiver to two senior loved ones...navigating the system is challenging enough, add taking care of a senior or a veteran and it becomes more complicate. I share lessons learned and key tips. 4) Healthcare Disruptors - defined as technology, companies and or individuals changing how healthcare is accessed, the efficiency and affordability...shouldn't consumers know about these disruptors to make the best choice for healthcare needs? I stay current on this and share knowledge on this topic. 5) Resources - I cannot tell you how many people tell me they didn't know about this healthcare option or free resource. In every episode I provide show notes with key resources.

My Show

What is my podcast about and/or how does it relate to the playlist topic you chose?

Are You Tired of the High Cost of Healthcare? Are You Overwhelmed Trying To Navigate a Complicated Healthcare System? Welcome To Get Savvy...Demystifying Healthcare Weekly Podcast Where We Take Complicated Healthcare Topics and Make Them Simple 1) I take healthcare knowledge and make it simple and applicable. 2) I make sure that I cover current and relevant topics about healthcare options. 3) I provide knowledge sharing from my own experience as a physician consultant working with physician groups nationwide negotiating their contracts with large healthcare insurance companies...Oh the things you don't know, but should:)

What is my podcast playlist about?

There are many people whether healthcare executives, physicians, and healthcare advocates who are fed up with seeing people struggle with chronic illnesses and not being able to get the medication they need forcing them to live in pain or worse... They are tired of hearing about people having to choose between putting food on the table or pay a high premium to have health insurance for their family. They are tired of people being stressed because they owe a six figure bill, after a stay at a hospital and are considering bankruptcy. They want to take out the stigma associated with Mental Health. My podcast list brings together these individuals who are determined to change how healthcare knowledge is shared and bring forth knowledge so you can be a savvy healthcare consumer.
