Who am I?

Host of the Burnout to Leadership podcast https://burnouttoleadership.com/ I had a long and rewarding career in software development and leadership, travelling the world and building expertise. But I am a Type A personaility, which means I drove myself very hard and was relentlessly curious, ambitious and striving for more. Eventually, that drove me into the ground, and I had to spend a few years asking myself different questions: What did I want out of life? How could I enjoy a more spiritual and grounded life, based on connection with people and nature, rather than materialism? My enquiries into the human psyche led me to become a burnout coach, helping professionals like me thrive and enjoy daily life in a way they haven't accessed before. I was a fit, clean-living guy with a successful career in I.T. when at 55 I had a near-fatal heart attack running on the beach one morning. I spent the next 5 years perfecting a step-by-step recovery program that would help anyone in burnout recover. Now I work with executive and professional guys in chronic stress and anxiety, who’ve lost their mojo at work and think it isn’t coming back. I coach these men from burnout to heart-centred leadership. For burnout recovery see https://mini.dexrandall.com
