Tell us about yourself – what is your background?
We've known each other since we were kids dating back to our days playing youth league soccer. We eventually wound up at the same high school together, regularly entertaining each other (and ourselves) making pop culture references during class, including many iconic lines of dialogue from "Hey Arnold!".
Why did you get into podcasting?
The pandemic made it necessary to find new ways to keep in touch and have fun with your friends.
How did the idea for the show come about?
We had been making "Hey Arnold!" references in ordinary conversation for over a decade, so we figured why not go ahead and take that to the next level and talk about the show for roughly an hour at a time and go through the whole thing from start to finish?
What do you hope listeners take from the show?
For the '90s nostalgia nerds out there, we hope they're able to revisit this childhood classic with new eyes and recognize that you can in fact mix irreverence with affection.
What's been the biggest challenge for you?
Staying consistent with putting out episodes. It's hard to keep up a podcast when you have a full-time job and also life happens.
