Tell us about yourself – what is your background?
My Co-host and I are a NYC couple that works 9-5 jobs with no creative outlet! So we started a Podcast!
Why did you get into podcasting?
My co-host and I have creative spirits but noway to channel that. I have done a few podcast before and he had an opportunity to work on public radio in Tampa FL. We had thrown the idea around about us doing the podcast, but we both were not tech savvy or had any understanding about audio! but while I was coming off another podcast and he was thirsty for a side project we came to the realization we have more to say and we wanted people to hear it.
How did the idea for the show come about?
The premise our show started as a code phrase for smoking! My co-host and I were living together in a small NYC and we wanted to sneak away for a "Bubble Bath" in our super tiny bathroom, and we would have the funniest (at least to us! lol) interesersting conversation. and that is how "Bubble Bath Stories" conceived and birthed!
What do you hope listeners take from the show?
What we hope our listeners take from our show?- the joy of never having to be nervous or afraid to skip small take and jump start a fun, time passing discussion.
What's been the biggest challenge for you?
The biggest challenge for us is maintaining audience participation. Our goal for each episode is to prompt our listeners to join the conversation and offer different perspective or play off of our topics. Sometimes this challenge can be overwhelming and discouraging to our process, but we keep going and try to continue effective ways to grow.
How can your listeners support your show?
The best way listeners can support us is to LIKE, FOLLOW & SUBSCRIBE!!! We welcome all comments, DMs even emails! We love when our listeners are just as excited as us about the episode. Even if they don't agree with our takes on subjects, we welcome it! a conversation, a discussion takes more than 1 person and 1 idea.
Any future plans that you'd like to share?
We are starting to do a a monthly (we have a taken a break atm) YouTube series called "Group Discussion", where we talk with other podcast host about podcasting, their shows and their journey throughout their process.
