Podcaster Q&A

Tell us about yourself – what is your background?

My Background is interesting-I don't have a journalist background like many in the true crime community do, what I do have is a specific skill set when it comes to research and deep diving. I'm one to read through court transcripts and read manifestos in order to get the most accurate information possible when it comes to talking about the cases that I cover.

Why did you get into podcasting?

The main reason for getting into podcasting was because of what I was seeing in the true crime community. there are a lot of podcasts out there that sensationalize the killer, instead of focusing on the victims, and rehashing cases that the world has heard about countless times, the ones that people don't know about need to be told as well.

How did the idea for the show come about?

The idea came from a friend telling me I should start a podcast doing book reviews, because I love to read. This idea evolved into a true crime podcast when I got really interested in other true crime podcasts out there.

What do you hope listeners take from the show?

The main thing I hope listeners take away from the show is that at the end of the day, keeping a victim's memory alive and advocating for them is the most I important thing. advocate for those whose lives were cut short, advocate for those that are unidentified. keep their memory alive.

What's been the biggest challenge for you?

The biggest challenge for us has a been working the podcast around our regular jobs. I spend all my free time on the podcast whether it's editing, researching, recording, or promoting it and it's a challenge to fit it all in between the regular 9-5.

How can your listeners support your show?

The best way listeners can support is by interacting with the posts on social media and leaving a review or rating the podcast. it truly helps in so many ways. those that are inclined can also check out our Patreon and merch store as part of the proceeds will go to different organizations every month.

Any future plans that you'd like to share?

In the future I'd love to be able to work on the podcast full time. I found something in this podcast that I feel as if I was meant to do and it would mean the world to me to be able to make a difference with the podcast. I've only ever wanted to help and bring awareness and my hope is to be able to do that.

Anything else you'd like to share?

those that have taken the time to interact, share, subscribe, etc, we appreciate you more than you could ever imagine and we truly truly thank you for taking the time out to listen to the podcast.
