Rosanne Boyland hated politics. She was shy, and she rarely left her home in Georgia. But then her family got a shocking call: Rosanne had died at the Capitol on January 6, 2021, in the middle of a crowd trying to force its way past a police line. From the depths of their grief, the Boylands vow to figure out what happened to Rosanne. Her brother-in-law, Justin Cave, reaches out to an old high school friend he hopes can help: MSNBC journalist Ayman Mohyeldin. The quest for the truth takes Ayman back to his hometown of Kennesaw, Georgia, where he retraces the last six months of Rosanne's life and picks up a trail that leads to childhood haunts, missing boyfriends, and down shadowy internet rabbit holes. American Radical is a five part series, with new episodes every Thursday and Sunday through December 19.

Welcome to West Church LKN! A message from Rev. Dr. Andrea Smith: West is a group of people that worship together, online or at Lake Norman High School, Mooresville, NC. 9 AM online service on Sundays, 10 AM in-person. If you come to West on a Sunday morning, you’ll find folks dressed in shorts and tee-shirts or athletic apparel, some coming straight from their soccer game. In winter, a pair of jeans and sweatshirt is common. At West, “all” means all people are welcome, and we actually live out that core value. West is an inclusive, safe community and we are not ashamed to say that. We believe in being real and relevant. We want to meet you where you are in your life. You’re not going to hear that there are absolutes — all questions and all pathways of exploration are welcome. We practice what we understand to be the Jesus way, which is radical love and acceptance. We encourage you to ask questions and wrestle with what we say on a Sunday morning. We don’t invest a lot of money in facilities. We worship at Lake Norman High School through an amazing partnership with the Iredell School System and have a strong online community. By not having a dedicated building, we can invest our money in community missions. Major missions: Support a sister church and orphanage in Uganda. Produce an annual Back to School Bash, where 1,200 disadvantaged students receive shoes, clothing, and supplies so they’re ready for success in school. Ding Dong Ditch Christmas MissionVisit www.headingwest.org for more information and to receive a free gift. I would love to hear from you. I’d love to know what questions you have about West. “Voices from my Bunker 2020” is a series of interviews with all ages of people of what 2020 has been like for them. This is a rebranded podcast that used to be named, "PODSNACKS/Art of the Diet" but the first six months of 2020 has shifted my preoccupations from five years of weight maintenance to minute by minute sanity maintenance. Attention must be paid to the issues before me. I'm 75, live in Massachusetts, and my doorbell hasn't rung in 3 months and probably won't until there's a vaccine. My hair has its own zip code and I look like the Unibomber when captured in his Montana cabin. None of which interferes with my ability, thankfully, to ask questions over a Skype connection. I'll be recording interviews until the election on Nov 3, 2020. If he is reelected, look only for my obit.

Anyone old enough to remember November 2016 knows that crushing polls don’t accurately predict a landslide election. They don’t predict Russian hacking, fake Facebook news feeds, James Comey’s surprise news conference, Access Hollywood, nor WikiLeaks leaks. Nor do they accurately reflect the deep resentment, a sense of rejection and bitterness many seemingly disenfranchised voters feel as they enter their ballot with a vicarious middle finger to the establishment. Two White House Correspondents , Doug Christian and Christopher Bua, will nudge you through this tumultuous period as Washington insiders. We’ll ask the tough questions, look for some answers, and have some fun along the way.

One Day In One Year with Jerry Won

One Day In One Year with Jerry Won is a podcast based on the simple idea that we each can invest one day out of a year to be grateful, share life lessons, and give back. We start by changing our perspective on how we define one day. We'll define "one day" not as a consecutive 24 hour period, but rather, as those same 24 hours divided across the 366 days of 2020 (luckily for us it's a leap year!). That comes to roughly 3 minutes and 56 seconds per day. I ask you to come join us as we spend 3 minutes and 56 seconds together each day in 2020. You'll learn from your fellow humans on what they're grateful for, their greatest life lesson, and the causes they care about deeply.
