Redefining Society Podcast |Musing On Society & Technology | Hosted by Marco Ciappelli Let's face it: the future is now. We live in a Hybrid Analog Digital Society, and we must stop ignoring it or pretending that technology is not affecting us. The line between the physical and virtual worlds has become a figment of our imagination. On it, we are continually performing a dangerous balancing act juggling convenience, privacy, freedom, security, technology, society, culture, and even the future of humanity. There is no better place than here, and no better time than now, to muse on our relationship with technology and how to redefine what society means in this new age.

Behavioral science is a cornerstone of modern marketing practice, but much of what passes itself off as behavioral science is just bs. Good social science gives us the insights and roadmap we need to change behavior, but bad social science just muddies the water and tarnishes the social sciences. As behavior change is a core objective of marketing, getting behavioral science right is crucial. Join us as two behavioral scientists sound off on what is, and isn't, good social science, from a variety of disciplines covering new topics every podcast.

The dirtiest secrets. That's what's happening here. Well...not entirely. Humans have always fascinated me. I'm most curious about what drives us creatively forward in our lives. When others share their stories with me, I arrive a little closer to knowing how many parallels we all share - how big this human family is, and that comforts me. I hope that by sharing these with you, you might know that too. I also hope that I'm able to present these in a way that you have a visceral experience - like you're there with us at the time and place of the interview - inside these beautiful human exchanges. These moments of connection are truly everything we humans seek when life is all boiled down to it's essence. I included the full audio, with the exception of minor edits of extremely personal information, as requested by my subjects. Many of these interviews are told "between the questions" - as is life. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do <3 XOO, Sagewolf

In this course, we will use the anthropological approach and methodology to understand witch-hunts and persecution. We start by looking at magic, witchcraft and sorcery and explaining the persistence of related beliefs and practices. As we will see the basic idea of witch persecution is that we have an image of a witch (or sorcerer) and then we pin it on someone. We analyze this image in greater detail. Pinning this image on someone is a process of accusation; we analyze among whom, why and how accusations occur. Finally, we look at some “witch-hunts”—including the Great Witch-hunt, the Salem Trials, and McCarthyism—in greater detail.

Falling in love with someone is easy. Staying in love with the same person, year after year, is much harder. That's why we're recording an hour of conversation every week of our first year of marriage. For us, it’s a way to dig into our fascination with one another and this existential question of lasting love. For you, it’s an invitation to creep on our marriage as it unfolds, mistake by mistake and lesson by lesson, since no one ever really told us about theirs. We’ll work through fights, expose probably too much of our sex life, and try to get to answers for how to stay in love in this little human experiment called I Think I Love You.
