PREMIERING AUGUST 23 2022 - This is the recording of Frank Nawrot’s first opera, Don Henry. It is based on a true story, told here in four parts. - Don Henry was a Dodge City native and University of Kansas student whose ideals led him to fight fascism in the Spanish Civil War of the late 1930s. Don was a young man when Mussolini and Hitler established fascist governments in Western Europe. He and others from around the world traveled to Spain to help prevent a fascist government from taking hold there as it had in Italy and Germany. He became a member of the International Brigade that fortified the leftist Spanish Republicans (also referred to as the Loyalists). Don knew the dangers of his ambition and so hid his real intentions by telling his family he was taking a vacation in Europe. On his first day of battle, Don was mortally wounded by a gunshot to the chest as he tended to an injured comrade. - In this recording, the story of Don Henry is told from three asynchronous perspectives: 1) a 21st-century 24-hour news channel program, 2) a letter written by Don Henry to his family in Kansas, and 3) the frontlines of the war as told by Salaria Kea, a nurse from Akron, Ohio. - The words of this opera are taken from historical documents, poems written by British international brigaders, and original lyrics by Frank Nawrot. The historical documents are the University of Kansas Board of Regents press release commissioned by the House Un-American Activities Committee and Don Henry’s letter. - Don Henry stars Neal Long, Gretchen Pille, Rachael Rule, and Frank Nawrot. Prometheus Radio Theatre, a group of experienced Baltimore-area Fan actors, writers and directors, is embarking on what we like to think is a bold, new path (then again, maybe we're just deranged!) We're bringing original, SF radio dramas to Fan audiences at area conventions, and we plan to offer said dramas via CD and streaming audio in the near future. Our current project is an episodic series, The Arbiter Chronicles, which author Steve Wilson describes as "a sort of Hornblower the Vampire Slayer in Space." "Arbiters" tells the tale of young midshipmen (and women) in a future Navy, when the human race has expanded off earth, and things ain't as bright and cheerful as some might expect.

Joey, the unwitting stowaway, is thrust into space and must deal with not only being in space, but with all the alien creatures aboard the SS Acid Rat. Once the delivery is complete, Vic, Argmon, and their new crewmate Joey, are offered a double or nothing gamble to pick up a second delivery for a celebration party. They must return to Planchar in twenty-four standard hours with a shipment of beer. It sounds so simple, perhaps too simple.
Pause and Listen explores the spectrum of new classical music through the lens of musicians, composers, and art appreciators. Each episode, three panelists join in conversation with John T.K. Scherch, bringing in three pieces of new notated music available on the internet that they feel others should hear. Listeners are encouraged to engage with the music as they see fit, be it listening to the pieces uninterrupted before playing the episode or pausing and listening to the pieces on streaming platforms along with the panelists.

During a raid of the Ulliam system the Handler's manage to drop off a message to Captain Cook and the United Corps Planets in the form a 16 year old clone of Captain Cook. The clone, who names herself Ann, has one simple message: Some of Handler's want peace. While on her way to deliver the message the Arwen, as well as the other Corps sentient computers, start acting strangely as a virus turns them against their crew. Meanwhile, Professor Ricter works on way to manipulate wormholes. His ultimate goal is to fling a small star at one of the Handler's Dyson Sphere's. The Arwen, Season 7: Battlesphere brings an end to Handler's saga. The final chapter of a quest that started on The Water Planet, then continued with Dyson Sphere and The Final Days of Peace.
