Another World is still Possible. The old system was never fit for purpose and now it has gone - it is never coming back. We have the power of gods to destroy our home. But we also have the chance to become something we cannot yet imagine, and by doing so, create a future we would be proud to leave to the generations yet unborn. What happens if we commit to a world based on the values we care about: compassion, courage, integrity? What happens if we let go of the race for meaningless money and commit instead to the things that matter: clean air, clean water, clean soil - and clean, clear, courageous connections between all parts of ourselves (so we have to do the inner work of healing individually and collectively), between ourselves and each other (so we have to do the outer work of relearning how to build generative communities) and between ourselves and the Web of Life (so we have to reclaim our birthright as conscious nodes in the web of life)? We can do this - and every week on Accidental Gods we speak with the people who are living this world into being. We have all the answers, we just lack the visions to weave them into a future that works. We can make this happen. We will. Join us. Accidental Gods is a podcast and membership program devoted to exploring the ways we can create a future that we would be proud to leave to the generations yet to come. If we're going to emerge into a just, equitable - and above all regenerative - future, we need to get to know the people who are already living, working, thinking and believing at the leading edge of inter-becoming transformation. Accidental Gods exists to bring these voices to the world so that we can work together to lay the foundations of a world we'd be proud to leave to the generations that come after us. We have the choice now - we can choose to transform...or we can face the chaos of a failing system. Our Choice. Our Chance. Our Future. How fundamental are fungi to a forest's eco-system? And how can they be utilised to reclaim barren land and grow sustainable plantations for economic markets? In this album, scientists from the UK and Malaysia explore how fungi form constructive and cooperative partnerships with other plants and trees, and how such symbiosis can be used for economic and environmental benefit. In the audio track, Professor David Robinson of The Open University delves deeper into the techniques scientists use to learn more about the woodwide web. RIGHT HERE! RIGHT NOW! is a brand new podcast where we remind you that being present and mindful in each of our moments is the only way to truly be able to learn. And from LEARNING comes GROWTH! A true transformation into our most authentic selves. The mindset is that we must be present and looking for the lesson in what we are experiencing - day to day; moment to moment. And one of the primary purposes of learning and growth is to take us to places we did not think were possible and to prepare us for a challenge that will make us better human beings; or the lives of our families better; even to help our colleagues and those in our charge better. Sometimes the challenges are known - so many times the challenges are a bit of a surprise. As long as we see the challenge as an opportunity, we will learn from them and carry on to better places down a path lined with lessons and teachings. We recognize in this philosophy that we have the capacity - even the responsibility - to begin again - and your NEW beginning starts RIGHT HERE! RIGHT NOW!

This unit explores some of the features, such as reproduction, lactation and thermoregulation methods, that mammals have in common. To get the most out of this unit you will need access to a copy of The Life of Mammals (2002) by David Attenborough, BBC Books (ISBN 0563534230), and The Life of Mammals (2002) on DVD, which contains the associated series of BBC TV programmes. Darwin did not expect to have "his" theory applied to pixelated creatures...this is payback for taking the limelight over Wallace. On Adapt or Die, Austin (a PhD candidate in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology) explores topics in popular culture that can be dissected with evolutionary theories and ideas. We will ask questions like "Does Pokémon evolution work like actual evolution?" or "How would evolution inform what lives and what dies after nuclear fallout". Combining peer-reviewed science, humour, and a smidge of speculation we will adapt our understanding of pop culture together.
